In a recent order to Sephora I got a free sample of the Diorskin Nude Air in Medium beige 030. I thought for sure it would be too dark since normally I'm light to fair however after putting it on I was suprised it seemed to match. Now don't get me wrong I'm not expert by any means , in fact at the age of 33 I'd say I'm more of a beginner as I'm still learning to wear makeup etc, as I was never one to go through the trouble of putting it on. Throughout high school and collage I worn concealer, mascara and lip gloss and that was the extent to it. I start getting into beauty after a couple of years of reading blog and watching LoTS of YouTube videos. Ok now I've appeared to venture off topic, however I hope you get the point I was trying to make. I have also never used a high end foundation as being a single mom on a budget I just cannot afford nor justify spending 80 dollars on makeup. I just wanted to share my first thoughts on this product. I will also insert a picture of me wearing the foundation in natural light. My skin type is combinate oily at times and other times like today dry. I did not put a primer on as To be honest I was thinking I'd end up washing it off right away however wanted the experience of feeling an expensive product on my face. ( Lol gotta live a little.)
My first thoughts on this foundation was its very thin and kind of liquidity which as a newbie makes it a bit harder to apply. However that being said it spread out nicely and left my skin feeling silky smooth almost like I used one of those silicone primers when I didn't. It was very light weight and felt moisturizing on the skin. It also seemed to really soak into the skin yet did even out my skin tone as it was a bit red. I wish I took a before photo however I wasn't planning on blogging anything when I tried it. I was just so excited after putting it on with how great it felt and how good I thought it looked that I thought I'd share my thoughts. I felt it matched my skin well. I'll let you be the judge.
Keep in mind the only thing I have on in the picture is NYX butter lipstick and the foundation. Nothing else.
My final thoughts on the first impression is if I could afford this product I'd definitely be purchasing it after trying it. The only thing I wasn't crazy about which beauty companies need to keep in mind is the fragrance as the floral old lady smell is fine, however as someone with sensitive skin fragrances can cause allergic reactions, although my skin did not react to it thankfully.
