Diorskin Nude Air

In a recent order to Sephora I got a free sample of the Diorskin Nude Air in Medium beige 030. I thought for sure it would be too dark since normally I'm light to fair however after putting it on I was suprised it seemed to match.  Now don't get me wrong I'm not expert by any means , in fact at the age of 33 I'd say I'm more of a beginner as I'm still learning to wear makeup etc, as I was never one to go through the trouble of putting it on.  Throughout high school and collage I worn concealer, mascara and lip gloss and that was the extent to it.  I start getting into beauty after a couple of years of reading blog and watching LoTS of YouTube videos.  Ok now I've appeared to venture off topic, however I hope you get the point I was trying to make.  I have also never used a high end foundation as being a single mom on a budget I just cannot afford nor justify spending 80 dollars on makeup.  I just wanted to share my first thoughts on this product.  I will also insert a picture of me wearing the foundation in natural light.  My skin type is combinate oily at times and other times like today dry.  I did not put a primer on as To be honest I was thinking I'd end up washing it off right away however wanted the experience of feeling an expensive product on my face. ( Lol gotta live a little.)

My first thoughts on this foundation was its very thin and kind of liquidity which as a newbie makes it a bit harder to apply.  However that being said it spread out nicely and left my skin feeling silky smooth almost like I used one of those silicone primers when I didn't.  It was very light weight and felt moisturizing on the skin.  It also seemed to really soak into the skin yet did even out my skin tone as it was a bit red.  I wish I took a before photo however I wasn't planning on blogging anything when I tried it.  I was just so excited after putting it on with how great it felt and how good I thought it looked that I thought I'd share my thoughts.  I felt it matched my skin well.  I'll let you be the judge.

Keep in mind the only thing I have on in the picture is NYX butter lipstick and the foundation. Nothing else.

My final thoughts on the first impression is if I could afford this product I'd definitely be purchasing it after trying it.  The only thing I wasn't crazy about which beauty companies need to keep in mind is the fragrance as the floral old lady smell is fine, however as someone with sensitive skin fragrances can cause allergic reactions, although my skin did not react to it thankfully.

Voxbox Monoploy Jr from influenster.

Hello,

I recently got the Monoploy Jr Voxbox from influenster and I love it.  At first I was worried it'd be too complicated for my 5yr old however to my surprise it was simple as it has one 1m bills and no property cards.  My daughter love the fun characters and each time we play it she kicks my butt. Lol.  Its a game I'd definitely recommend to my friends and family and helps a lot with my daughters counting.

I'd like to thank Influenster and Hasbro games for sending us Monpoly Jr to try. #GameNight #influenster #hasbrogames

Murad blackhead and pore cleansing duo vs Glam Glow

Hello Everyone!

I have decided to write another review from a products I have been using recently, which is the Murad blackhead and pore cleansing duo.  The duo includes a clay mask that in my opinion is comparable to the glam glow and even has a lot of the same ingredients.   After using both masks for a while, I can honestly say I like the Murad duo much better than the Glamglow mask.  One of the biggest reason is the cost difference you get twice as much product for a cheaper price than the glam clow mask, and when you put the murad mask on it doesn't tingle and exfoliates really well... Plus it has a pore filler product the you put a thin layer over your face and this product tingled a bit however makes me feel like it's cleaning the pored.  I have also gotten better results with Murad than with the glam glow.  Plus it makes my skin feel so much softer.

Another product I had gotten with my Sephora haul was the Sephora Acne-fighting roll-on gel.  This product works great as it gets rid of the blemish within a day or so and the inflammation of the pimple goes down after one use.  I love it!

I will definitely buy these two products again!

Hope this may help someone out there!
take care!

GlamGlow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate treatment mud mask - First impression/review

Hello Peeps,
Yes yes I know I have been MIA for a long time however life for me gets busy especially when I go to sit down to blog as that is usually when my child needs something or is getting into stuff.. ahhh the wonders of a single mom.  Anyhooo enough about that.. I have been doing a lot of shopping lately which is kind of a bittersweet as its fun and is nice to try new products however I really shouldn't be spending money .. oh well ( I have been also making crafts to sell to make money back)   The reason for this blog post is I did my very first sephoria order only after dreaming about some products for a while. I finally decided to splurge a bit and get the small version of GlamGlow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment Mud mask.    (Yes I know I'm late to this party)  I was so excited when the mail came I opened the box right away and had to try it.
My first impressions of the mask were ok.  When I first opened the container the first though was wow this looks like mud..lol (ahh duh its a mud mask)  To me while applying the mask it felt exactly like rubbing mud on your face with small particles of sand with the occasional lump in it (which from other reviews i'm guess are the tea leave)  The mask dried fairly quickly and hurt to smile, cuz of course someone comes to your door when you're waiting for it to dry. lol  Once it dried I didn't take off as instructed (since there weren't anyone on the packaging that I found) so the next time ill be sure to do the exfoliating scrubbing actions when taking it off.  I still noticed my skin to be a bit brigherand felt smooth.  Now if feels a bit greasy however I did put moisturizer on after as I wasn't sure if I should have or not and with all fairness it was a HOT day! (so my face feeling greasy is normal those evenings).
All in all I liked it the tingling/burning sensation wasn't too bad (I have has worse one which was a pumpkin mask by Micheal Todd that stuff burned and stung my skin) I may feel better about the product after using a couple more times however not sure if its worth a $76.00 price tag for the full size, although I do like it.
Here are my pictures:
Right after applying mask
After the 10 minutes mask complely dry - Yuck to Oil.
After Its all washed off (bad pic I know)

Well That Is all for now.  I'll Try to get a haul blog up soon and trying to get the courage to blog on youTube.
Hope you all are enjoying your summer Happy Blogging!

ImPRESS Voxbox Review

Hello,

I know I have been MIA for a long time (again) however with a car accident and being a single mom, life has been busy.  Today I am here to share with you the next VoxBox from Influenster that I qualified for which was the imPress VoxBox. I received these products complimentary for testing purposes and to review.  I am always excited to try new products and to be able to give you all my honest opinion. (One of these days I'll get past my shyness and start doing YouTube videos) I rely on others opinions/reviews on products before I buys them, especially large ticket items.  Anyhow let's get into the products.

The products is ImPress press-on manicure by Broadway Nails.  I received two style of nails, they were 130 Control Freak which were the ones I used, and D030 Holla!. You can find these places like Walmart, Target, London Drugs, Loblaws, etc.  The colours are available for $8.99 and patterns for $10.99
Here is a picture of what I received: #imPRESSmanicure

Now to be completely honest these are the first press-on nails that I tried as I never wanted to mess around with glue and I was able to grow my nails long after I got over being a nail biter.  I am also fortunate to have strong nails.  I have found pros and cons when using the press-on nails and for my lifestyle certainly not something that I'll be finding myself purchasing, however for others it may be worth trying.  As I had stated before I'm a single mom and frequently help a friend out with her kids so that leaves me looking after a 8 month old baby and two 4.5 year olds.  So I found it hard to open up containers with foil tops like Apple sauces or the new plastic baby food containers and changing diapers.  Now that you have a better idea how my day is I'll give you the pros and cons I found when using/wearing nails.

Pros
- there is no glue to mess around with as there is already adhesive on the nails.
- the nails are thin so they comfortably go onto your real nails and they do look realistic.
- there is no drying time as you would for ones with glue or using real nail polish which I always find myself messing up my nails if I try to do my nails when my child is home.
- the patterned nails as very cute and not something you could easily do with on your own.
- easy to use as you just pull off the plastic back that my 4 y could do, then press them on.

Cons:
- nails were almost to thin to be able to open containers/diaper sides easily.  Did feel the nail pull and it hurt a bit. (Due to the strong adhesive)
- found it challenging to find a good size fit for my ring finger.
- nails were shorter so were the same size as my real nails which would be great for someone who can grow nails as they wouldn't be too long and look natural.
- lost a nail after a few hrs on my dominant hand due to my lifestyle.
- thumb nail chipped after a few hrs, not sure from what.

For me I feel these nails certainly do not fit my lifestyle other than not having drying time, however I think if you were going out for the night and don't have a lot if time to paint your nails these would be a good option as they are quick and wasy to put on, much faster than waiting for nail polish to dry.

I hope this review helps if your thinking about getting them.  I think they'd be much better for someone with older kids or no kids. I'll insert some pictures if me wearing the nails.

Starting to put them on after fitting them to my nails.
Here they are all on so you can see how natural they look.

Here's a picture after losing one, yes I could of just fitted a new one as there are lots of extra nails, however I was frustrated with them so I just took them off and saving the pattern ones for a night out.
I'd like to thank you Influenster and Broadway Nails for the opportunity to try these nails.

My first VoxBox

Hello,

Sorry I have been MIA for so long... well I have some exciting new (or at least I was excited about it.)  I have been a member of Influenster for about a year now, and I had gotten my first VoxBox February 8th 2014.  It was samples to a Mystery Brand from L'Oreal.  We got to try the product for a week, then they revealed what the mystery brand was and we got sent a SECOND VoxBox.    After trying the mystery brand once I was instantly in love as my hair still wet felt sooo smooth and soft.  Once it was dry my hair was very soft, less frizzy, which for me has always been a problem as I have very thick wavy hair.  I also used some of the product on my daughters hair we had been battling lice for over a year due to a cousin who keeps getting it and passing it to her, her hair was damaged and would get so knotted shed hate me brushing her hair.  I used the split end repair on the ends of her hair and I ran my fingers through her hair and you could feel the difference on where the product was used and not used.  Her ends felt much softer and was not longer super tangled so you bet the next time I bathed her and washed her hair I put that product throughout her hair, and I could comb her hair with ease.  AWESOME!

I felt this product was even better than some salon products I have tried as I have NEVER had such good results after only one usage.   So what is this miracle product?  I bet you're wondering. Well it is Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser.    AWESOME! right.. its more affordable than a salon brand with better results how could you go wrong.  I know its my new go to product.

The even more exciting news, is in the next VoxBox influenster sent us (for free) compliments of Garnier (L'Oreal product line)  was the whole routine FULL SIZE products  That was 4 full size bottles - Shampoo, Conditoner, Split End bandage and strength reconstructing butter.  Soooo Exciting!
Thank You Influenster and Garnier!!

October Ipsy Bag

I have been subscribed to Ipsy for about 4 months and it is by far my favorite subscription box.  They cost is cheap you get a good mix of beauty products which I like since you get to try all kinds if brands I probably normally wouldn't as I'm scared to dish out a lot of money for something then hating it.  At least with Ipsy I typically will like at least one product and then will get to try some new products that I ended up loving.

In my October Ipsy bag I got a Zoya nail polish in a purply color that I love.  I typically wouldn't buy Zoya as I can't justify spending about $8+ for nail polish. I got Sexy Hair Spray Clay which is a texturizing spray 1.4oz (41g) 50ml(I haven't tried it yet). I got OleHenriksen truth serum collagen booster 0.25fl oz (7ml) - I haven't tried either since I currently have a weird rash on my face so I want to wait till that is gone. I got Ofra lipgloss plumper Sulty - love the color of it however it's very thick hard to get out of the tube and don't notice any plumping also it doesn't smell that great and tasts horrible if you accidentally get it in your mouth. ( I have no idea how I manage to taste all lipglosses and lipsticks lol) the last item I got was Nourish Organic coconut & Argan body lotion.  I love the smell however haven't noticed a significant difference yet.
Here are photos of my October Ipsy Bag:

That is all for now I will post a review of my thoughts if the other products once u use them.

Have a great day everyone!
